Elderly scammed in Kavala

An elderly woman in the town of Kavala in northern Greece was persuaded in a phone call by an unknown fraudster to hand over 17,000 dollars, valuables and jewelry to cover supposed medical expenses for her daughter, who was supposedly involved in a road accident.
According to reports, the woman left the money and valuables outside the door of her home in a bag at the instruction of the perpetrator.
