Man killed in apartment fire
Firefighters mounted an operation to recover the body of a man who perished in a fire in an apartment in the Attica suburb of Ilioupoli on Sunday morning. According to information from the scene, the Hellenic Fire Service were able to rescue a woman that suffered from respiratory problems but could not save the man.
Four vehicles and 12 firefighters were active on scene and an investigation was launched to determine the cause of the fire.
