Drugs gang nabbed after car chase
Two members of a drug trafficking gang were arrested on Monday in northern Evros by officers of the local narcotics unit after a police operation, authorities said.
The suspects were arrested after a car chase on the Egnatia Highway, which ensued when they refused to pull over when police hailed them down.
During the chase they threw a bag out of the car containing around a kilogram of cannabis, which was later retrieved by police in a roadside bush.
