Ursula von der Leyen to visit Cairo with the Greek, Belgian and Italian PMs on March 17

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, along with the Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, the Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo and the Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni will visit Cairo on Sunday March 17, European Commission spokesperson Veerle Nuyts announced during a press briefing on Friday.
She also noted that Ursula von der Leyen will meet the President of Egypt, Abdel Fatah al Sisi, adding that the mission is taking place in the context of talks for a stronger partnership between the EU and Egypt.
