High school teachers to launch new 48-hour strike
Public high school teachers are due to continue the strike they launched this week over the civil service mobility scheme by walking off the job on Monday and Tuesday.
Members of the OLME teachers’ union were asked to vote early on Saturday about whether to continue their action.
The options of a five-day or three-day strike did not receive enough votes but 82 percent of those who took part backed the two-day strike.
Teachers are due to meet again on Tuesday and Wednesday to decide whether to continue their protest.
The civil servants’ union, ADEDY, might also call a strike this week.
