Two arrested over Corinth kidnapping
Police in the northern Peloponnese on Monday arrested two men aged 22 and 29 after police negotiators convinced the latter to release a 23-year-old woman the pair had abducted in Corinth earlier in the day.
The two men allegedly forced the young woman into a car driven by the 22-year-old and then moved her to another vehicle driven by the older suspect, who police believe intended to take the victim to northern Greece.
Officers managed to arrest the 22-year-old in the town of Kiato, before contacting his 29-year-old accomplice and talking him into releasing the young woman.
