Two arrested for illegal possession of Neolithic figurine
Two people, aged 47 and 57, were arrested in Kolonaki, central Athens, on Wednesday, on charges of illegal possession of antiquities.
According to initial reports the suspects were found carrying a Neolithic figurine dating to the middle Neolithic period.
Early estimates set the object’s value at more than 10 million euros.
