Cypriot president expected on one-day visit to Athens

Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades is due in Athens on Friday for meetings with President Karolos Papoulias and Prime Minister Antonis Samaras.

Anastasiades will only be in Athens for one day and his meetings will focus on Cyprus peace talks, which are due to resume later this year.

Anastasiades will be accompanied by Cypriot Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulides, government spokesman Christos Stylianides and the head of the president’s diplomatic office Nikos Christodoulides.
