Two suspects to testify before prosecutor in heroin probe
A businessman under investigation for leasing a tanker that is believed to have carried around 2 tons of heroin to Greece in June is to appear before the Piraeus prosecutor handling the probe into Greece’s biggest ever drug bust on Tuesday.
The 52-year-old fuel trader allegedly leased the Noor One from a broker who is currently in pretrial custody in connection with the same case.
The owner of the Noor One is also due to testify to prosecutor Maria Skarpou on Wednesday.
Both suspects are expected to ask for an extension to prepare their depositions.
