Halkidiki fires come under control
A wildfire that broke out in the area of Polygoros in Halkidiki, northern Greece, on Friday was brought under control on Saturday, the local fire service said.
The blaze did not cause considerable damage and there were no reports of any injuries.
Another fire at nearby Ouranoupoli was also extinguished on Saturday, a few hours after it broke out.
