Is new Roma political party too optimistic?

According to Human Rights Watch 2004, the Roma population of Greece has been estimated at around 250,000. According to the Hellenic Republic, the Gypsy population varies anywhere from 120,000-300,000. I can only conclude that estimates by ASPIDA – a new political party set up to represent the Roma community – of 600,000 Roma in Greece are wildly exaggerated, but good luck to them.
