RRF expansion to strengthen Europe

The expansion of the Recovery and Resilience Fund will strengthen the whole of Europe, said Minister of National Economy and Finance Kostis Hatzidakis, speaking at the 9th Cohesion Forum held last Friday in Brussels.

In response to a spokesman for the German government who described the prospect of expanding the Recovery and Resilience Fund as “illegal,” the minister said that “the reservations of some member-states to extend the Recovery and Resilience Fund ignore the fact that these policies not only strengthen the immediate beneficiaries, but Europe as a whole.”
