Suspect arrested in Rhodes for stabbing police officer
Police said on Wednesday they had arrested a man on the island of Rhodes the previous day for stabbing an officer.
The incident occurred as officers tried to detain and restrain the suspect, a Greek national, who had earlier removed a Greek flag from a local monument.
The officer, who was stabbed in the abdominal region with a 40-centimeter-long knife, underwent surgery at a local hospital.
