25-year-old man dies on Cretan highway

A 25-year-old man was killed on Thursday morning when the car he was driving crashed with a tank truck on the Northern Crete Highway (VOAK).
The accident happened at the junction of Kalyves, in western Crete.
Firefighters extracted the driver from the car who was then transferred to a hospital and pronounced dead.
The local traffic police is investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
