Ferry strike ends as seafarers win 3% pay increase

Ferry schedules will return to normal at midnight Monday after shipping companies and unions clinched a deal on a new collective labour agreement.

Under the agreement between the Association of Passenger Shipping Companies (SEEN) and the Panhellenic Seamen’s Federation (PNO) will see seafarers’ wages increase by 3% from January 1.

The deal brings a four-day strike to an end.
