Traffic resumes in Athens metro following bomb scare

All traffic has resumed on Lines 2 and 3 of the Athens metro on Tuesday evening, approximately two hours after the authorities received a call warning of bombs in two central stations.

The call had warned that there were bombs in the Syntagma and Monastiraki stations. Eventually, all stations across both lines were evacuated and all rail traffic ceased while police searched the stations for explosives.
