Prosecutor in Crete to probe freak accident that killed motorcyclist

A prosecutor on Crete has ordered a preliminary investigation into the circumstances that led to a 51-year-old motorcyclist who was killed by falling tree at a traffic lights in Iraklio.
The father of three died after being hit by the pine tree, which fell without warning, at a central junction in the city.
The funeral of the man was expected to take place on Friday afternoon.
