Ioannina man arrested over animal abuse charges
A 63-year-old man in Ioannina, north-eastern Greece, was arrested on Sunday over animal abuse charges after he allegedly dragged a donkey that was tied to the bed of his pickup truck. The man was arrested at home by police officers from the closest precinct.
Investigations into the case are ongoing, with the suspect stating that the situation was an accident and that he had not intention of harming the animal.
