22 died in road accidents in January

Twenty-two people lost their lives and 578 were injured (13 seriously) in 517 road accidents involving cars, motorcycles and pedestrians in January in Attica, according to the Attica Traffic Police Directorate.
It said the main causes were reckless driving, violation of traffic signs and violation of traffic rules by pedestrians, while failure to wear protective helmets in many cases increased the severity of motorcyclists’ injuries.
