Cruise ship experiences temporary mechanical issue

A cruise ship, carrying 581 passengers and 404 crew members, experienced a temporary mechanical issue about 7.5 nautical miles southeast of Aegina island, near Athens.
The Bahamian-flagged Silver Spirit had previously left the Port of Nafplio, heading for the Port of Piraeus.
The company stated that “Silver Spirit experienced partial loss of power in one engine, but continued to sail under her own power. The issue has now been resolved. There was no impact on the itinerary and the next sailing will depart as scheduled.”
