Syntagma metro station closed for security reasons

Police have ordered the closure of downtown Athens’ Syntagma metro station as part of security measures surrounding the ongoing visit of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Athens.
Trains will pass through the station, but will not make stops until further notice from the police.
Dozens of streets around the city center are also affected by the visit, which is having an impact on public transport by bus and trolley bus.
