Shipyard worker dies in accident

A 40-year-old worker died Saturday afternoon at Chalkis Shipyards in the city of Halkida, north of Ahens, when hit by a part of a ship’s shell door that broke off.

The accident happened around 4 p.m. Saturday. The man died instantly.

The Halkida Port Authority is investigating the accident.
