ADEDY seeks to rally members
The civil servants’ union ADEDY, which is holding a 48-hour strike on September 18 and 19, called Wednesday on its members to join rallies next week, and in particular a demonstration to begin at 11.30 a.m. at Klafthmonos Square in central Athens on Wednesday, to protest an overhaul of the public sector demanded by the troika.
ADEDY said a mobility scheme putting staff on reduced wages ahead of their transfer or dismissal was “condemning thousands to unemployment.”
