Polls find ND leading SYRIZA by over 15 points ahead of European elections
Two polls released on Friday showed the ruling New Democracy (ND) leading main opposition SYRIZA by just over 15 points ahead of the June 9 European elections.
The first poll, conducted by Marc, put the difference between New Democracy and SYRIZA at 15.3%.
The poll put New Democracy at 30.4%, SYRIZA at 15.1%, PASOK at 10%, nationalist Greek Solution at 7.4%, communist KKE at 6.6%, left-wing Course for Freedom 3.6% and religious nationalist Niki 3.1%.
In the second poll, conducted by Pulse, both leading parties had higher percentages but their gap remained at just over 15%.
Pulse’s poll put New Democracy at 32%, SYRIZA at 16.5%, PASOK at 13%, Greek Solution at 8.5%, ΚΚΕ at 7.5%, Niki at 3.5%, Course for Freedom at 3.5%, Yannis Varoufakis’ Mera25 at 3.5% and New Left at 3%.
In Greece, the electoral threshold for entering the European Parliament is 3%.
