As part of its “Psi” program on the subject of psychiatry and how it’s portrayed in film, the Trianon Cinema (trianon.gr) – in cooperation with the Hellenic Psychiatric Association – is screening Robert Redford’s 1980 drama “Ordinary People.” Starring Donald Sutherland, Mary Tyler Moore, Judd Hirsch and Timothy Hutton, and based on novel by Judith Guest, this was one of the first films signaling society’s growing acceptance of the science of psychiatry.
