Trolley bus drivers call off strike

A work stoppage on the Greek capital’s trolley buses that had been planned for Wednesday has been called off by the union representing workers at operating company ILPAP.

The union called off the strike after an Athens court ruled the strike action as “illegal and abusive.”

Unionists have been protesting the lack of a collective labor agreement, while demanding the recognition of previous work experience of newly-hired employees.
