Towboat captain dies when vessel sinks

A towboat sank on the island of Patmos Friday as it was helping a cruise ship leave the port, and its 48-year-old captain died.

The captain’s body was retrieved by a private diver.

A second person on the towboat managed to swim away unharmed. 

The coast guard is investigating the incident.
