Greece and Saudi Arabia to withdraw World Cup bid

Greece and Saudi Arabia discussed on Wednesday that they are withdrawing their joint bid – along with Egypt – to co-host the 2030 FIFA World Cup.
According to available information, because 2030 is seen by many as the turn of Europe for hosting soccer’s prime international competition, there was a lot of pressure for the World Cup to be co-hosted by Spain and Portugal, with the Saudi government deciding to withdraw.
