Google doodle marks Greek Independence Day
Google’s search engine on Friday features a doodle marking Greek Independence Day, a national holiday celebrated annually in Greece on March 25.
The doodle depicts a Greek flag and the Google logo on blue background.
After almost 400 years under Ottoman rule, Greek revolutionaries launched an uprising in 1821. With assistance from foreign sympathizers from countries including Britain, France and Russia, they achieved their independence in 1832.
